But that's just it Max, no other state is so comprehensively, fundamentally and persistently 'opposed' for its faults - whether real or perceived - as is Israel. It is this obsessive and disproportionate response that elicits the question 'why?' And it is unreasonable to answer that question without antisemitism featuring. The only argument lies in definining the magnitude and mechanism of the relationship between antisemitism and criticism of the Jewish State. But that’s just it Max, no other state is so comprehensively, fundamentally and persistently ‘opposed’ for its faults – whether real or perceived – as is Israel. It goes like this: We know the story of the Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney) in WWII. They gave their Jews to the Nazis without the blink of an eye. Dos any remotely sane person think that this wouldn't have been repeatedon the "mainland-island"? The Channel Island's example is the guiding pattern in countering the deniers' claim. Now I don't really conden the Islanders as much - o nearly the whole - of Europe did this. But denying with certainty that England would't have done it... is too much. I also would want to tangentially touch on my country's experience. It's clear to all that Hungary's conduct was atrocious, horribly shameful and indefensible. The only mildly mitigating factor I could bring up in my country's defence in historical perspectives of anti-Semitism (meager defence, but still), that the most significant, greatest and most respected national figures in LITERATURE (writrs, poets, novelists etc.) in the Middle Ages and later, were - contrary to England's case for its eternal SHAME - either neutral or even philo-Semites. This is the only detai that serves as a tiny defence for my country, Hungary. So yes, to clear the smokescreen I admit: I am on the opinion that the English are anti-Semites just like - sometimes more, much more - than other people, other peoples.
