1) From your figures, it appears clear that the prison guard Israel is feeding, clothing and medicating its prisoners. So? This is the minimum to be expected, not something to be touted as humanitarian aid. Does the US get extra-special praise for the quality of the food at Guantanamo?

2) Do you have any more figures. I was so enjoying your list, but your figures end in 2004. I have a new one for you, though: 1,400 Palestinian killed, 13 Israelis in the Gaza Conflict. Since you’re into body counts, that should be in there, I think.

For the perspective, so to speak.

These people belong to a new peace-activist group called “Violent Hamas Supporters for Peace”. Their main form of peace protest involves stabbing with knives and crushing skulls with metal rods.

They got what they deserved. I’m not happy but I’m not crying either.

I cannot believe your inhumanity. I understand and sare your criticisms of Hamas – but surely you recognise that a mother suicide bomber is responding to the starvation of her children; the atrocities that they have to suffer at being expelled fron their lands; the surveillance, the oppression, the checking, the pleading, begging, starving, dying that woul never be endured by the Isaeli people without international outrage.

If yoy believe in God, then believe in helping the innocent victims of this inhuman apartheid.

That is the point that Israel should emphasize.

I don’t think Israel should blockade Gaza by sea, although given that there hasn’t been a formal declaration of war. And the propaganda value for the anti-Zionists is tremendous.

I think Israel should do nothing but defend its borders with Gaza, period. Then its position would be unassailable.

One other point: What does 14,000 tons represent for a population of some 1.5 million? Is it really a lot? Or just a pinprick? If it’s the latter, don’t over emphasize the amount of aid, since anti-Zionists will easily shoot that down.
